When I have experienced those excruciating “Where are you, God?” or “Why have you forgotten me?” moments, there’s one foundational truth that steadies my heart—when He feels the most distant and far away, He’s actually closer than ever before.

This unfathomable, undeniable, and most glorious truth echoes throughout earth and into eternity: “He loves you.” Darkness cannot diminish it. Death cannot defeat it. No trial, hardship, or heartache of this present age can ever take His love away from you.

Perhaps you need a little more joy... Or just a reminder of God’s great character and His goodness. And when life gets us down, as it often does, our joy tends to vanish in an instant. God is still good and faithful, even when our circumstances are not, and even when our hearts tell us otherwise.

Imagine, for a moment, what it will be like once we enter eternity. Few words can truly capture what it means to live forever, where time ceases, and yet we’re all destined for it one day. What does eternity look like for you?

Our hope is not dependent on ourselves or others or whether our circumstances change for the better—our hope rests in Jesus Christ (in who HE is, His finished work on the cross, and in what He continues to do for us today, in Heaven and on Earth).

Preparing for eternity doesn’t begin when we die—it will be too late then—it begins when we accept Jesus’s gift of salvation and receive His great love and eternal forgiveness for all our sins and shame, believing that He is the only Way, the Truth, and the Life.

Usually, we tend to want to fix things or make a way through the uncertainty we face. But God clearly tells us not to worry and not to strive in our own strength. The most important thing He tells us to do is to seek Him... seeking His Kingdom and His Ways, first and foremost.

It's a challenge to let go and let God... but when one does let go and chooses to rest and trust in the Lord, one'll discover the most incredible freedom, hope, and joy!

Let us forsake the false ‘wisdom’ of the world and even what we think is wise in our own eyes, and yield to God’s wisdom alone.

Is darkness surrounding you today, dear friend? When the Light of the World is beside you and within you, there is nothing to fear.

God deserves our wholehearted trust—not little bits of it when it suits us or when we feel in the mood to give it.

True trust in God is built in the dim, dark trenches of uncertainty and difficulty.
