“Therefore, I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear.  Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes?...
But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.”
Matthew 6:25,33 NIV

Have you ever wished your worries away?

In this life, worrying seems to come so easily. Choosing not to worry can be the greatest challenge.

So often, when life is uncertain ahead, or we're scared of the future, worry, fear, or anxiety becomes our default. Perhaps we’re waiting for answers or peace we desperately need, and our hope continues to wane at every turn. And no matter how hard we try to be strong and squint ahead, the path just keeps growing fainter before us.

For greater insight, I encourage you to read these passages and allow God to speak to you:

Matthew 6:19-34 & Luke 12:22-40.

Worry is the ‘easier’ approach to uncertainty, and usually, we tend to want to fix things or make a way through it all. But in these passages, God clearly tells us not to worry and not to strive in our own strength.

The most important thing He tells us to do is to seek Him... seeking His Kingdom and His Ways, first and foremost.

When we do this, He will take care of everything else, even the things we don’t see or understand yet.

So, take courage, my beloved friend. Let go and let God.

Lay aside all your worries and fears. Let go of all striving in your own strength. May you set your gaze afresh on what really matters in this life—your mighty Father God who loves you and wants to comfort you. He wants to be your Source of Strength and Hope.

He always has been and always will be your Jehovah-Jireh—your eternal, perfect Provider. He cares for you fully and completely.

“Taste and see that the Lord is good. How happy is the person who takes refuge in Him!

You who are His Holy Ones, fear the Lord, for those who fear Him lack nothing.

Young lions lack food and go hungry, but those who seek the Lord will not lack any good thing.”

Psalm 34:8-10 CSB

Even in the midst of the uncomfortable waiting and uncertainty—God knows your needs, your hopes, and desires, and He will always take care of you. May you walk into the blessed rest and freedom of a worry-free life, only found in the eternal arms of God your Father.

Dear Father God,
Thank You that You are a good Father, who has always taken care of me—and I rest today in Your provision for my present and future.
Help me to find rest in You. I choose to let go and to let You work in my life, laying aside my worries, fears, and all striving in my own strength. Open my eyes and ears to know Your Will and Your work in my life. Help me to seek You and Your kingdom, and to walk in Your righteousness.

In Jesus’ Name, Amen
